The Cricket Foundation

Our Target

The Challenge

Chance to shine is the single biggest sports development programme ever undertaken in this country.  The delivery of Chance to shine projects in one third of schools in England and Wales over ten years will require £50 million.

To date over £16.2 million has been committed towards our target of £25 million to be generated from the private sector. In addition, £4.5million has been received from the National Sports Foundation as part of the Government's commitment. It is anticipated that the National Sports Foundation will continue to provdie an average annual sum of £2.5 million over 10 years to match the £25 million being raised from the private sector.

We are immensely grateful to all our supporters - to our Patrons and to many other individuals who have donated with extraordinary generosity, to those from the business community who are members of our Corporate Supporters Club, to the many Grant Making Trusts who have chosen to support and to every other individual who has helped us in ways both great and small.

We are particularly grateful also to Allianz and to Slazenger, our two major Commercial Partners, for lending their considerable weight to our campaign.

If you believe – as we do - that cricket can play a vital role in the development of young people, please help us ensure that Chance to shine will be delivered as planned.
